Reception
Last week we made a very exciting discovery, we found an egg in our outdoor area. We followed the footprints and found a box tucked away with an egg inside. We do not know what is in the egg but we have been predicting and writing our ideas down and we have been taking good care of it. We discussed how we can look after the egg and wrote some warning posters to ensure that no one touches the egg. This week we hope to find out more about the egg and we will be looking at different type of dinosaurs and language to describe them.
In maths we will be looking at ways to solve number problems, investigating ordinal numbers and we will be moving on to addition and subtraction. This week we will be using the star words:
Star Words (Key Vocabulary): first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, last, next, before, after, between, first, then, now, plus, equal to, take away,
This week we are going to be making our own dinosaur eggs using papier mache, if you have any spare newspaper at home can you send this in with your child.
